The Rock's Misbehavior on Movie Set Costs Studio $50 Million

Dwayne Johnson, the former WWE wrestler turned successful actor, is known for his box office appeal. However, his behavior on set has recently been called into question.

During the production of "Red One," a Christmas action-comedy originally set for release last year on Amazon Prime Video, Johnson reportedly displayed unprofessional behavior. According to The Wrap, delays caused by Johnson's actions significantly contributed to the film's postponement, costing the studio $50 million.

Sources cited by The Wrap claim that Johnson often arrived on set 7 to 8 hours late. Additionally, some people who worked with him stated that he avoided bathroom breaks by urinating in water bottles to save time, which is ironic given his frequent tardiness.

This revelation has surprised many in the industry and among fans. However, Amazon MGM has denied any issues during the film's production.

An Amazon spokesperson stated that the production delays were not related to producer Hiram Garcia, president of production at Seven Bucks Productions, Dwayne Johnson's company. Yet, more than a dozen individuals involved in "Red One" reported problems on set due to the producer's lack of experience.

The situation remains controversial, with insiders pointing to on-set issues and Amazon defending the production process and denying significant problems, including rumors about Johnson's behavior.

It's challenging to take a definitive stance without concrete evidence. Both sides have reasons to present their version favorably. Only time and the final outcome of the movie will confirm if there were indeed difficulties during production.

For now, we await to see how the situation unfolds and if the film meets expectations despite the prior controversies.
